City and Provincial acquired this 3 acre site last summer from the University of Greenwich and the Goldsmith's college. The site currently comprises student accommodation, redundant buildings and vacant land.
City and Provincial are working with both Trinity College of Music who have recent relocated to the borough in the Old Naval College buildings, and Jarvis Plc who are a major student provider to create a predominantly educationally based site incorporating a new music facility which will be centre of excellence for both Trinity, and other educational users in the area. It is also anticipated that there will be an element of public participation in the music facilities.
Part of the comprehensive redevelopment of the site will include a number of student residences which will be principally occupied by Trinity College of Music and University of Greenwich. This represents a major regeneration of a strategic gateway site for the Borough of Greenwich that has largely remained vacant and derelict for many years.
